Welcome to our church

Saffron Walden Community Church is an independent Christian congregation located in the heart of Saffron Walden. Our aim is to make Jesus central to our lives and our relationships and to provide an open and welcoming community where anyone can explore what it means to be a Christian in today’s world.

Prayer is important to us and we periodically gather for extended times of prayer and reflection on a Saturday morning.

Churches in the Community

Alongside the other churches in Saffron Walden, we offer a range of activities across the week, suited to different age groups and open to all. In particular, we offer a Pop-in Coffee Morning on Mondays from 10am to 12 noon, A Toddler Music Playgroup on term-time Fridays from 9.30 to 11am, and a Youth Club on Friday evenings from 7.30 to 9pm.

Community Church @ The Hub

From September, we are launching a second service at the Hub in Jubilee Gardens. The service will run at the same time as our Castle Street Service at 10.30am. The service will be held in a more relaxed atmosphere but will include some of the teaching and elements from our Castle Street site.

We have ceased to take cash collections during our services. Many of our members now give to the church by regular bank transfer, but for those seeking an alternative, please click on the button to make a donation .
